Bolivar's Back is a celebration of the return of the Bolivar Peninsula. Businesses are reopening, people are coming back and the communities are rebuilding. The Texas Crab Festival and The Stingaree Music Festival are coming together for one big event. You will have the best of both worlds. The family fun of The Crab Festival and the music of the Stingaree Festival. Come on out and support your friends and neighbors in Bolivar. They are working hard to overcome an unbelievable amount of adversity and are long over due for a good time..

All of the proceeds will go to rebuild the baseball field in Gregory Park.

THE TEXAS CRAB FESTIVAL

This will be the 24th annivarsay for the Crab Festival. The Texas Crab Festival has become an important annual event in Crystal Beach and the Peninsula. This is truly a community effort that has provided residents with a wide range of entertainment and activities.

THE STINGAREE MUSIC FESTIVAL

2009 will be year three for the Stingaree Music Festival. In it's first two years Stingaree has brought audiences to Bolivar from all over North America and from as far away as Sweden and Australia. This festival was the brainchild of singer/songwriter/performer Hayes Carll who spent a number years performing in and around the peninsula. Hayes has again invited a great lineup of talent that represent a wide range of Texas music. All of the artists have agreed to waive their normal fees and are working for expenses only.
